The design concept explores the possibility of urban design role in providing social contact space in a conflict prone area. It proposes four model of socio-petal space. The idea links to the contact hypothesis that communal conflicts could be minimized by the use of urban space to encourage more positive interaction.

​

This poster presents the urban development and planning policy in Indonesia in response to post conflict resolution process. It captures the initial findings from data collection on three areas which experienced conflicts at communal level. It documented 13 main emerging issues related to the conflicts and urban development.

The Story of Urban Development and Planning in Response to Social Conflict in Indonesia (2013)
​

This poster illutrates the pictorial discussion around the issue of social conflicts and urban development. It adopts Rich Picture Diagram techniques to tell the story of social conflicts particularly at communal level. The story evolves around three different scale: personal, community, and city level.
